The Vengeance Volante

The Volante is a special “one of one” coach built project endorsed by Aston Martin. Based on DB9 and usingthe bonded aluminium and composite VH platform.

The widened C pillars and wings of the hardtop Vengeance are still there, but the interesting double bubble roof arrangement has been replaced for the Aston’s fabric, foldaway roof. Like the hardtop Vengeance, there are shades of several Aston Martin icons within the build.

You’ll also spot the ‘crosshair’ exhaust and rear lighting setup, and sculpted lightweight wheels. Inside, there’s handcrafted black leather, with door tops and inserts featuring a flute design.

Power and drivetrain a 5.9litre V12 with 510bhp, sent to the rear wheels, a 0 62mph (0 100kph) time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of around 180mph (290kph).

“Creating a convertible version of the Vengeance posed some challenges given the unique coach built nature of the vehicle,” explains Afzal Kahn,”but we’ve overcome them in true British fashion”
