The sun was shining on the opening day of the event this year enhancing the already stunning display of cars and motorcycles. Motorcycle have been at the show for a few years, but this was the first time that show organiser David Bagley introduced them to the concours to display and speak with their founders. This added an interesting twist to the vehicle display for 2023.
Of particular interest this year for Casmin were ARC motorcycles, JIA with their new electric Chieftain, MST with their MK1 Escort and Theon Design with their resto-mod Porsche. A short introduction for each can be found below.
ARC Motorcycles
Hand crafted in Britain for each owner, the Arc Vector is the world’s most advanced fully electric motorcycle. It’s a combination of state-of-the-art technology, stunning design,
and modern comfort making it a truly unique riding experience.
All that, wrapped in a breathtakingly futuristic body with post-modern nods to the classic spirit of a British café racer, a symbol of freedom and high fashion that stands for peerless handling and debonair attitude. The Vector is the greenest, safest, and most fulfilling bike ever created.
The rider sits astride a hand-made motorcycle with lightweight carbon composite structure and ingeniously elegant battery-module, which is as clean and efficient as it is beautiful to behold
JIA Chieftain
Due for a full launch later in 2023, the new Electric Chieftain is the latest re-engineered Range Rover Classic from class leaders JIA.
This exceptional piece of engineering builds on JIA’s bespoke chassis upgrades with a fully in house designed and built EV solution,
Not to be confused with a retro-fit EV solution, this is a ground-up engineering exercise to bring the iconic Range Rover Classic fully up to date as a high performance bespoke vehicle with environmentally sound credentials.
MST Escort
he most successful rally car of all time!
The Mk1 Escort was launched in 1968 and evolved into the Mk2 in 1975. A simple and practical design that works as well today as it did 50 years ago. The Escorts dominated the world of rallying throughout the 70’s, winning the RAC rally every year between 1972 and 1979, making the Escort model the most successful rally car of all time.
Today MST bring you a car based on the classic proven design and bring it up to date with today’s modern technology as a road car or competition rally / race car. Keeping the original rear wheel drive layout and updating the drive train with a modern more efficient and powerful engine with state of the art electrical systems and features such as programmable ECU’s, and power steering.
THEON Design
Theon Design restore and enhance the Porsche 911 blending world-class design and engineering with a single-minded objective: to apply the robustness of an OEM-like approach, but with the craftsmanship that can only come from a small team of experts. We like to call this OEM+ and it ensures the highest possible quality, finish and overall aesthetics.
For every Theon Design commission, state-of-the-art digital design techniques are blended with traditional hand-craftsmanship. Using the Porsche 911 (964 series) as its base, Theon combines OEM-level design, quality and manufacturing techniques with an obsessive attention to detail. In order to build cars to the tightest tolerances, each component is digitised and modelled in 3D design software. This approach maximises precision and panel fit – and also gives Theon the flexibility to ensure each car is unique, enabling it to tailor details to a customer’s individual specification.
